Today is the first of three days of competition at the 2023 Alberta Summer Games in Okotoks and Diamond Valley.
Competitors representing eight zones from across Alberta will compete for provincial bragging rights in 14 sports.
Participating sports include: baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, BMX, canoe/kayak, football, lacrosse, mountain biking, rugby, soccer, softball, swimming, track and field, and triathlon.
All venues are in Okotoks with the exception of the mountain bike track, which is in Diamond Valley.
Competition times vary, but most action is between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Day passes and weekend passes are available for individuals and families. They can be purchased through Showpass at 2023asg.com and are also available at the Games office (35 South Railway St.), Okotoks Recreation Centre, Bill Robertson Park and Holy Trinity Academy.
