Vancouver Canucks activate forward Elias Pettersson from injured reserve

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks activated forward Elias Pettersson from injured reserve before their road game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.

Pettersson missed six games with an undisclosed injury. The team confirmed the move in a social media post.

The 26-year-old Swede entered play Friday with 28 points (10-18) over 34 games.

Pettersson signed an eight-year contract extension worth US$92.8 million last season.
