The Town of Diamond Valley's public works department is clearing a beaver dam near the Oilfields Regional Arena this morning.

According to a social media post, the dam blocked a culvert and washed out part of a trail located behind the arena.

The department will be removing debris from the beaver dam to lower the pond water level this morning, June 11, and then rebuilding the trail.

The Town added that no beavers will be harmed and their habitat will not be drained or damaged.
