Family-friendly fun and local art will be the focus of an Alberta Culture Days event in Diamond Valley this weekend.
Community members are invited to the Sheep Creek Arts Council's Art Show and Kids Activities, an event that promises to inspire and engage all ages, on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheep River Library.
The art show will feature over 50 pieces of artwork created by members of the Sheep Creek Arts Council, showcasing the diverse artistic talents of the Foothills community.
The event’s family-friendly activities include mono-printing, a polymer clay workshop for kids and their caregivers, a scavenger hunt hosted by the Nature School and make-at-home bead kits.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the arts. We are proud to showcase the work of our talented members and to offer activities that will inspire the next generation of artists,” says Kym Wilkie, President of the Sheep Creek Arts Council.
The Art Show and Kids Activities event is part of the province-wide Alberta Culture Days 2024 celebrations, happening throughout September. A list of events across Alberta is available here.
