Fire restriction lifted in Foothills County

The fire restriction declared in Foothills County on April 22 was lifted on May 1.

Due to recent snowfall and current weather forecasts, the fire restriction in Foothills County has been lifted as of today, Oct. 22.

The restriction was initially declared on Sept. 12.

Foothills County said that fire permits will continue to be given, in compliance with relevant regulations. Fire permits for Class 1 and 2 fires are available free of charge on the County’s website

Residents are reminded that a fire ban, restriction or advisory may be imposed at any time and burn permits may be revoked with little to no notice if the conditions warrant it, the County stated.
