Emergency alert issued across Alberta and Manitoba for Saskatchewan stabbings

A Dangerous Person Alert was issued in Saskatchewan on Sept. 4 and extended to Alberta and Manitoba for Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson following multiple stabbing incidents in Saskatchewan.

A Dangerous Person Alert in Saskatchewan has just been extended to Alberta and Manitoba.

Saskatchewan RCMP issued an alert following multiple stabbings at different locations on Sept. 4, including including James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Sask. and early indications are the victims were attacked randomly.

An RCMP update Sunday afternoon stated 10 people have died and 15 have been sent to hospitals after stabbings in multiple locations in Saskatchewan.

The two suspects are Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson. Damien Sanderson is 5-foot-7 and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Myles Sanderson is 6-foot-1 and 240 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The emergency alert indicates the two may be driving a black Nissan Rogue with SK license plate 119 MPI, and as the suspects have access to a vehicle, the alert has been extended province-wide and to the neighbouring provinces.

This is a rapidly developing situation, and those in the Regina area are urged to seek immediate shelter/shelter in place, not to leave a secure location, not to pick up hitchhikers or approach suspicious persons, and to use caution allowing others into your residence.
