Hundreds of shoppers browse the stalls during the first weekend of the Spruce Meadows Christmas Market on Nov. 20, 2022.

Tickets are now on sale for the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market, which will take place over three weekends in November.

Running Nov. 15 to 17, Nov. 22 to 24 and Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, the market will feature more than 300 vendors plus a range of festive experiences to transport visitors into an immersive European Christmas wonderland.

“We want shoppers to truly feel like they are entering a whole new world,” said Krista Poffenroth, manager of business and exhibits development at Spruce Meadows. “This year, as we approach our 50th anniversary in 2025, we are pulling out all the stops when it comes to décor, atmosphere and entertainment.”

Additions to this year’s market include elevated gastropub delights during Aprés Market Saturday night dinners in the beautifully decorated Congress Hall and entertainment at the brand-new outdoor Scotiabank Stage. There will also be more unique decorations than ever before, which is saying something given the grounds had over 40 kilometres of lighting last year.

Returning favourites include a huge selection of food options, from chimney cakes to cheese fondue crusty rolls, Long Table Dinners on Friday evenings and High Teas on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

There will also be a KIDS’ Zone, carolers, Santa in Candy Cane Lane and Sunday visits by Santa’s reindeer.

“There’s a reason we have been named one of the top five markets in the world,” said Poffenroth. “This year, we are aiming even higher.”
