RCMP in Vermilion have laid charges following an investigation that began this summer, relating to the death of a dog.
On Aug. 15, Vermilion RCMP started the investigation. An initial report states "the pet owner had entrusted the care of their dog to another person, and upon attempting to retrieve their pet, the dog was discovered deceased," according to information released by RCMP on Dec. 17.
"Vermilion RCMP remains committed to ensuring the well-being of animals and holding individuals accountable for actions that put them at risk."
