Foothills County encompasses a diverse rural landscape covering approximately 3,600 square kilometres located in the foothills of southern Alberta.

We are currently seeking an Assessor to join our team. If you are looking for a rewarding career that offers a work life balance, this could be the opportunity for you.

Our municipality has approximately 16,000 parcels and offers the challenges of property valuation to an individual with the required skills and experience.

Reporting to the Manager of Assessment Services, the ideal candidate possesses knowledge of assessment and appraisal concepts, techniques, principles and processes.

This role includes visiting and inspecting properties, collecting and verifying data, the ability to use and apply the cost and sales comparison approach to value.

The ideal candidate has strong verbal and written communication skills, using courtesy, tact and discretion, with a focus on delivering customer service excellence to internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate is required to be enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree in an Assessment or Appraisal related program. Education equivalencies will be considered.
