Reporting to the Accounting Lead, the accounting clerk will be responsible for providing support to the finance team, specifically assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions. The individual will be responsible for the daily general administrative tasks, assisting with accounting system maintenance, and processing transactions. The Accounting Clerk must be a strong communicator as they will work closely with multiple departments and clients across both the Canadian and the United States entities. They will have a strong acumen and are proactive and strategic to ensure the proper execution of the receivable and payable functions. They will also provide support to the finance management team with various projects and assignments.


Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain and compile invoices.
• Post invoices and payments into the ERP system.
• Maintain a SharePoint filing system.
• Complete supplier account reconciliations and Account
Payable subledger reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Liaise with logistics team.
• Complete customer account reconciliations.
• Contact customers with delinquent accounts.
• Provide assistance in the month end and year end closing
processes.
• Post monthly accruals as per managers’ guidance.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and three years of experience working in an accounting/finance environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
o Experience working with accounting systems including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, general ledgers and subledgers.
o Experience working with an ERP system.
o Proficient with MS Office, with Intermediate Excel skills at a minimum.
o Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
o Must be able to work both as a team player and independently.
o Strong analytical and reporting skills.
o Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
o High attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
o Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered an asset.
o Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines.
o Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.


Salary Range: $48,000 to $60,000 Annually
