The Children’s Aid Society of Algoma requires a part-time Relief Driver for its office buildings in Sault Ste. Marie. The Driver’s primary role is to transport children in care between their foster home and family visits and to and from day care and school. The Driver also delivers mail between office buildings in Sault Ste. Marie and the post office, and maintains the agency’s vehicles in clean, working order

Qualifications:

• Minimum education: Grade 12 Diploma
• Experience working with children
• Compassion and commitment to helping children and families
• Punctual and reliable with good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Experience and sensitivity to the needs of First Nations and Metis communities, as well as bilingualism in English/French/Ojibway are considered assets.
• Practice defensive and safe driving
• Clear Police Vulnerable Record Check and driving transcript is required and satisfactory provincial child welfare check


Salary Range: $35,660 - $43,832 per year.
