Mountainview Colts lose in overtime against Copperheads

Didsbury-based Heritage Junior Hockey League team's match-up against Okotoks postponed due to bad weather

DIDSBURY - The Mountainview Colts came up short against Coaldale and had a second scheduled game postponed over the weekend.

On Friday, Nov. 22 the Colts hosted the Coaldale Copperheads at the Didsbury Memorial Complex in Heritage Junior Hockey League action.

The Colts got goals from Ryder Hammer (assists Rhett Miller and Zachary Wheatley), Haiden Parks (Konnor Poitras), and Simon Leischner (Hammer) in a 4-3 overtime loss.

Colts netminder Nicholas Smith stopped 27 of 31 shots. The Colts managed 39 shots on the Copperheads net during the match.

The Colts' game against Okotoks scheduled for Saturday night was cancelled due to inclement weather. A new date for the match-up will be set later.

The Colts host the Ponoka Stampeders at the DMC on Friday, following by matchup Saturday against the Airdrie Techmation, also at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.
