GALLERY: Haunted houses take over Okotoks Lions Campground

The Stabbin Cabin, The Asylum and The CarnEvil have set up shop in Okotoks for the rest of October.

Okotoks beware, you're in for a scare.

Nightmare in the Campground by Nightmare Creations has brought three terrifying tours — The Stabbin Cabin, The Asylum and The CarnEvil — to Okotoks Lions Campground.

"It's real fun to scare people when you see that 'am I gonna die right now?' look in their eye," said co-owner and creative designer Jon-Ross Lafont. "That's the greatest thing in the world."

The haunted house runs every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until Halloween week, when it runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and wraps on Halloween, which falls on a Thursday this year.

Hours are from 7 to 10 p.m., although from 4 to 6 p.m. there are sessions without flashing lights or loud noises for kids and those with sensory needs.

Tickets are $25 per person, with group rates at $80 for four or 10 for $220. Each ticket includes admission to the three haunted houses.

Twenty per cent of all profits from the event will go toward The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, supporting the Okotoks Lions Club's mission to train and provide service dogs to Canadians with disabilities.

Get tickets on EventbriteHauntPay or at the door.
