It’s the weekend car buffs wait for all year.
The Okotoks Show & Shine returns to Olde Towne tomorrow (Sunday, Aug. 18) to showcase all manner of automobiles.
The show will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Elizabeth, McRae and North Railway streets, having moved back to its traditional downtown location after last year's event was held near Seaman Stadium.
A typical year sees 10,000 people and 500 cars fill the streets for the annual event.
Organized by the Kin Club of Okotoks, the show raises money for local organizations.
Besides cars, trucks and motorcycles, there will be live music, food trucks and vendors, and beer gardens.
In addition to the car show, a burn-out competition takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today (Saturday, Aug. 17) in the parking lot of the Viking Rentals Centre, formerly known as Centennial Arenas.
Following the burn out contest, a Poker Rally gets underway at 4 p.m., starting and ending at The George Traditional House.
