A gas leak has forced the evacuation of the Black Diamond downtown core on June 20.
Alberta alert has reported a significant gas leak in downtown Black Diamond on July 20.
 
There is a significant gas leak due to an incident in downtown Black Diamond. The downtown area is closed to traffic. Nearby businesses and residents are being evacuated and are asked to attend the Oilfields Regional Arena if they need a place to go. The Black Diamond Fire Department is on-scene working to secure the leak and any affected properties.

All travel is being re-routed to avoid the area, please find alternate routes if you need to travel in and around Black Diamond.
If you notice the smell of natural gas, close all windows and doors. Please seek medical attention if you are experiencing medical difficulties.
