The Okotoks Farmers' Market 2024 season kicked off on June 14 at the Viking Rentals Centre parking lot. The season closes on Sept. 27.

Should you need another sign that summer is in the rear-view mirror, here’s one: It’s the last Okotoks Farmers’ Market of the season on Friday, Sept. 27.

The market, which relocated to the parking lot of the Viking Rentals Centre for the 2024 season, has been held every Friday since mid-June.

The final market of the season will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

An Alberta Farmers’ Market, which means it has a high concentration of made-in-Alberta goods, the market typically boasts more than two dozen vendors selling an array of food products as well as art, housewares and more.

Previously located just north of town, the market was relocated to the arena parking lot after Inclusion Foothills took on organizing duties this year.

Inclusion Foothills also operates the farmers’ market in High River, which closed for the season on Sept. 12.

The Millarville Farmers’ Market will continue to operate every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2.m. until Oct. 12 at the Millarville Racetrack. It has close to 200 vendors on a weekly basis.
