Okotoks Fire & Rescue recently received a piece of life-saving equipment from Firehouse Subs.
On Oct. 6, Firehouse Subs Okotoks and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation presented the local fire department with a Holmatro hydraulic rescue spreader (jaws of life).
Money to purchase the $26,117 piece of equipment was raised in restaurants across Canada from Firehouse Subs guests who rounded up their totals to the nearest dollar, made donations at the till or bought branded Firehouse utility buckets.
