A lengthy road closure in the DeWinton area will continue on for a few more days.
Foothills County announced that 64 Street West, between 226 Ave. and 242 Ave. West, will continued to be closed with detours in place until Nov. 20. The road has been closed by Foothills Public Works since Sept. 30 for bridge replacement and was originally slated to re-open on Nov. 15.
The road is adjacent to the Sirocco Golf and Rocky Mountain Showjumping northwest of Okotoks and near the Calgary city limits.
Road detours continue to be in place with local access as posted. The alternate route is 226 Ave. West, 80th St. West and 242 Ave. West.
In the news release, the County added it apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanked the public for its continued understanding.
