GALLERY: All sorts of animals at Spruce Meadows PetFest

PetFest returned to the Foothills April 11 to 13.

Spruce Meadows is known for horses, but plenty of other animals were at the Foothills facility for PetFest, held from April 11 to 13.

Dogs, petting zoo animals and a wide variety of exotic animals ranging from tarantulas and snakes to tegus and sloths were at this year's event, along with over 60 vendors including businesses, charities and law enforcement representatives.

Spruce Meadows, established in 1975, is commemorating its 50th anniversary with a variety of events including an upcoming summer concert series with Leon Bridges, Dean Brody, Brett Kissel and more, and a potential visit from Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who recently gave her royal patronage to the facility.
