A classic High River restaurant made it into the pages of the Globe and Mail when readers from coast to coast were asked to share their favourite diners.
Evelyn’s Memory Lane Diner is among 32 eateries listed in a Diners we love feature published by the national newspaper on July 31.
The Globe’s feature says the 1950s-style diner on Fourth Avenue has been open for 30 years. It appears in HBO’s The Last of Us and CBC’s Heartland series is filmed nearby.
Recommended menu items at the popular lunch destination include the roast chicken sandwich and homemade ice cream.
