Sooner or later, the Christmas decorations need to come down, and something needs to be done about that tree.
In Okotoks, real Christmas trees can be taken to three drop-off locations so they can be chipped and used for compost.
Unbagged trees with decorations removed can be dropped off in the parking lots of the Operations Centre (northeast corner), the Okotoks Recreation Centre (northwest corner) and Viking Rentals Centre (northwest corner) until Jan. 31.
Smaller trees can be cut up and placed inside green organics carts to be picked up at the regular time.
