Those with an interest in community gardening are being invited to a session later this month in Okotoks.
The Future of Community Gardening in Okotoks will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Okotoks Environmental Education Centre, 1118 North Railway St.
“I know it is still cold out and the snow is on the ground but it is time to start planning,” Mayor Tanya Thorn said in a Facebook post. “Attend this session if you are interested in shaping community gardening in Okotoks.”
The session will explore ways to build a sustainable future for community gardening in Okotoks, including opportunities to get involved, although there’s no pressure to commit.
“This is a great opportunity to share ideas, connect with like-minded individuals and contribute to shaping the future of this cherished community initiative,” Thorn stated.
The mayor said the meeting is open to seasoned gardeners, curious beginners or those simply passionate about community.
