Emergency crews were called to a collision on Highway 2 east of Okotoks Wednesday evening.
The call came in shortly after 6:15 p.m. November to a multi-vehicle collision, including a jackknifed semi trailer in the northbound Lanes of Highway 2 at 306 Avenue, just south of the Okotoks overpass.
According to Okotoks Fire Dept. Captain Peter Lappin, 7 vehicles were involved, including the semi, but no injuries were reported.
As of 6:45 p.m. northbound Highway 2 was closed from 338 Avenue to 306 Avenue with traffic being diverted to Highway 2A, and is expected to remain that way until at least 7:30 p.m.
Traffic is moving slowly in the southbound side.
Caution is advised as crews are still working near the roadway and conditions are poor.
