Environment Canada’s forecast for Okotoks calls for a daytime high of 0C tomorrow before Wednesday ushers in a deep freeze that will see frigid temperatures through to the weekend.
Wednesday’s high is forecast at –18C, which will seem mild compared to highs on Thursday (-27C), Friday (-31C), Saturday (-25C) and Sunday (-20C).
The overnight low on Thursday is expected to reach –37C.
The long-range forecast sees a gradual warming trend as daytime highs next week range from –9C to –14C before returning to seasonal values on the Jan. 20-21 weekend.
