The Town of Okotoks is seeking advice from teens.
The Town is planning to relocate the Youth Centre within the Okotoks Recreation Centre and is looking for input from local youth to help create a fun, safe and welcoming space in the new location.
The Town has an online survey that asks youth to vote on options for a number of components of a new centre, including colour scheme, seating, gaming systems and gaming chairs.
It also asks teens to rank gaming equipment, including ping pong table, cornhole game, foosball table and pool table, and offer board game options.
The Okotoks Youth Centre is intended for youth ages 12-17 (teens 18 years are welcome until they graduate Grade 12). The current centre is located on the lower level of the Okotoks Recreation Centre, adjacent to the skate park.
