One person is dead following a glider crash east of Diamond Valley on May 29.
Emergency crews responded to the crash in a field south of Highway 7 shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Diamond Valley Fire Rescue Chief TJ Moore confirmed that one person was found deceased at the scene.
The body and the glider were both in the same field but separated by approximately 100 metres.
An investigation is underway, and no further details were immediately available.
The glider came down within a few kilometres of the Cu Nim Gliding Club.
A flight instructor from the gliding club said he couldn't confirm whether a club-owned glider was involved in the incident.
The club was hosting a national gliding competition, he said.
"I think we have about 30-plus privately owned gliders, from a bunch of folks around the county there," Elian Dupre said.
