MyCityCare Okotoks has opened registration for its annual Shop of Wonders.

Shop of Wonders provides gifts for children by offering parents a personal shopping appointment leading up to Christmas.

Over 1,200 children in the Foothills benefited from the campaign in 2023, up from about 900 the year before.

Lorna Jewer, director of MyCityCare Okotoks, previously said the program's success is due to support from volunteers, partners and those who donate to the campaign.

In a Facebook post, MyCityCare Okotoks said that Shop of Wonders was created with the goal of helping families in need by giving parents an opportunity to pick Christmas presents for their children from a variety of donated toys.

Registration for Shop of Wonders is open to families that reside in the Foothills area.

Families can register at https://mycitycareoko.churchcenter.com/people/forms/786723.

MyCityCare operates across Western Canada and runs several programs in Okotoks to help families in need in the region.
