Heads up for commuters in the west portion of Foothills County.

The County announced that Volker Stevin is closing 210 Avenue SW which will temporarily prevent access to the City of Calgary via Township Road 221A.

The road work is expected to take close to a month and be completed by mid-May. Commuters are asked to plan for alternate routes in the area.

Township Road 221A is typically used as a connecting road between 64 Street SW and 210 Avenue SW which connect the County with the south Calgary communities of Creekside and Belmont.
