The Foothills Shrine Club of High River treasurer Dixon Luten and secretary George Garbutt present a cheque to Pamela McLean, executive director Okotoks Foodbank Association ahead of the holidays.

The Foothills Shrine Club of High River recently paid it forward with a charitable donation to four local area food banks.

"From time to time, the Foothills Shrine Club of High River has funds available to donate to charitable organizations within the Foothills area of Southern Alberta where our members reside," said Shrine secretary George Garbutt.

He noted the club recognized the ongoing need presented by the local food banks making them a perfect candidate for the donation.

The Shrine Club donated $500 to each of the food banks in Nanton, High River, Okotoks and Turner Valley/Black Diamond.
