A Vulcan man is celebrating a six-figure lotto win and plans to use his winnings to help family.
Ronald Maksymowich won the Poker Lotto All-In jackpot and a $10,000 Royal Flush instant prize at the Vulcan Village Gas Bar on Dec. 17, the WCLC said in a media release.
The total prize was $149,827.50, and Maksymowich didn’t have to look at the lottery display screen to know he won something big, he said.
“I knew that I won based on the store clerk’s eyes,” he said.
Maksymowich said he planned to make a big purchase but has since changed his mind.
“I was planning on buying a new truck for myself,” he said, “but I’ve looked at the pricing and am re-thinking that.
“I will take care of my family, kids, and grandkids instead."
