Stampede breakfasts galore: Here's your guide for Okotoks and area

Free breakfasts on offer in Okotoks, High River and Diamond Valley to mark Calgary Stampede.

One of the hearty sides of the Calgary Stampede is on the menu in the Foothills.

Pancake breakfast season is upon us with a number of opportunities to chow down in the Okotoks, Diamond Valley and Foothills areas to start the month.

On Friday, July 5, Okotoks’ two breweries will be serving up more than suds.

Hub Town Brewing, along with French 50 Bakery, Austen Jewellers, Rebel Bean Coffee Roasters and Supper Studio, are hosting the Working Together to Feed the Community Stampede Breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon with donations accepted to the Okotoks Food Bank.

Across town at Big Beaver Brewing, its Stampede Breakfast runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

On Saturday, July 6, the Okotoks Evangelical Free Church’s Stampede Breakfast runs from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The free event features food, live music, face painting and kids activities.  

Also on Saturday, Cavalry FC Regional Field House in Aldersyde is the site of the third annual Foothills Family Expo, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event features a pancake breakfast, vendors, live music, bouncy castle, pony rides and a petting zoo.

In Diamond Valley, the Turner Valley Legion’s Stampede Breakfast is July 6 from 9 a.m. to noon with admission by donation. The breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausages, orange juice and coffee.

On Sunday, July 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.,  St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Okotoks is holding its pancake breakfast.

In High River, Centered on Wellness and Wild Rose Community Connections is putting on its first annual High River Stampede Breakfast on July 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at 505 1 St SE.

On July 9, Murray Chrysler Okotoks is holding its breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Donations are being accepted for the food bank with Kate’s face paints on offer from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

On July 11, Carstar Okotoks is putting on its breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. at its Stockton Avenue location.

CIR Realty in Okotoks is hosting a breakfast, complete with western photo booth, on July 11 from 10 a.m. to noon at 26 North Railway St.

July 12 sees Okotoks Nutters holding its Stampede Breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon at its 900 Village Lane location.

On Saturday, July 13, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ breakfast runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the Banister Drive Chapel in Okotoks.

For our furry friends, Gus’s Pet Resort’s Pupcake Breakfast runs on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Stockton Point Okotoks location. In addition to pupcake treats for pups, the lineup includes barrel racing and refreshing pool splashes.
