Winter warming trend starts Monday in Okotoks

Temperatures to get above zero for most of second week of January in southern Alberta

It’s a return to above seasonal conditions this week in the Foothills.

After a frigid start to the month, Monday in Okotoks will see the mercury move significantly with an almost 10 degree improvement as daytime highs are expected to hit -2 C with a mix of sun and cloud.

It gets better from there with plenty of sun this week, a high of 4 C on Tuesday, 5 C on Wednesday and could flirt with double digits by the end of the week with a high of 9 C expected on Friday.

Environment Canada data has normal daytime highs for this time of year at -5 C along with lows of -15 C.
