The Town of Okotoks is hosting a Social Well-Being Workshop as it continues efforts to strengthen the social fabric of the community.
The workshop is part of a Social Needs Assessment that aims to evaluate the community’s strengths, assets and evolving social needs, and provide insights that will help shape Town policies and programs.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Viking Rentals Centre.
Billed as a safe, welcoming space to share ideas, the workshop will feature interactive, small-group activities. Dinner and snacks will be provided.
Register to attend by Jan. 30 at shapeourtown.okotoks.ca/social-needs-assessment.
Previous engagement has identified five key priorities to enhance social well-being in Okotoks: affordability; accessibility and inclusivity; strengthening community connections; Town communications; and growing in a way that supports everyone.
Participation from residents, businesses, social service organizations and other impacted groups will help the Town identify priorities and emerging social trends.
Information collected will help in the development of social wellness strategies that are to be finalized in early 2025.
