Okotoks adds four medals to haul at marathon southern Alberta tournament

The song remained the same at the Anthem Communities Cup for Okotoks United over the third and final weekend of the competition.

Okotoks added four more medals to its haul at its home tournament over the Jan. 24-26 weekend to bring its total to 12 podium finishes from 17 local teams at the January competition that featured 138 teams in 24 divisions at the Cavalry FC Regional Field House in Aldersyde.

The third round of the competition featured the recreational side of the bracket with seven divisions, including seven Okotoks teams, playing boarded soccer.

Okotoks took home the silver medal in the boys U15 and U13 ranks and claimed bronze in U13 girls and U9 boys divisions. 

The first two weeks of the tournament saw Okotoks win two medals in the girls division and six in the boys bracket.
