Okotoks' youth running community crossed the finish line on its fall racing series last week.
The Wedderburn Pond served as the venue for the fifth and final run of the Okotoks Track and Cross Country Club's fall series on Oct. 29 with four category winners crossing the finish line.
Julianna Brown and Liam Dowell took home the senior titles with Molly Bishop and Ben Flora earning the junior division championships.
The division winners were selected based on performances in the five cross country runs around Okotoks' expansive pathway system.
The club also handed out Ironman awards to every athlete that completed all five runs: Dowell, Bishop Flora, Tom Murphy, Marc Wonderham, Elliott Hefferan and Liana Dueck.
The fall racing series is run in conjunction with the high school and junior high cross country running season, helping the athletes train for school sports and extending their season with club running.
The OTCC, in its eighth year in operation, is comprised of students from grades 7-12. The club moves indoor to the Cavalry FC Regional Field House for its track and field training during the winter and spring months.
