Okotoks was home to a terrific weekend of U18 Female AA hockey action.
The Rocky Mountain Raiders hosted the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, posting a 3-1 record at the Okotoks Centennial Arenas and ultimately just missing out on a podium finish.
Rocky Mountain was downed 4-2 by the St. Albert Sharks in a seesaw bronze medal game on Easter Sunday. Abby Graham and Charlotte Hallam scored highlight reel goals for the Okotoks-based squad with the visitors scoring three second period goals.
The gold medal game saw the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs edge the Calgary Fire White 2-1 in a nailbiter. Sherwood Park finished fifth.
In pool play, the Raiders rallied from an opening loss to the Chiefs with wins over Calgary, St. Albert and Sherwood Park.
