A first of its kind international showcase in Canada is coming to the Foothills next week.
The Canada vs. USA Women’s Pro Pickleball Challenge swings into Lynnwood Ranch in Foothills County, east of Okotoks, for three days of exciting action from Sept. 20-22.
“We believe this event represents more than just a tournament. We believe it is a pivotal opportunity to foster the development and growth of women's pickleball, from the amateur level to professional level,” reads the event post.
The event will feature senior pros, pros and amateurs in competition.
Limited advanced tickets are still available for purchase and can be found at the following link. Limited tickets will be available at the door and cost $20 for day passes.
The event will also be livestreamed on the ALSS Live Sports platform.
The weekend schedule starts with the opening ceremonies on Friday at 7:45 a.m. followed by two sets of four hours of round-robin action from 8 a.m. to noon and 4-8 p.m. A full schedule of the weekend can be found here.
Lynnwood Ranch, a well-established event venue, is located on 96 St. E, east of Highway 2 in Foothills County.
