QMJHL Roundup: Armada beat Phoenix in 2-1 shootout

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Jonathan Fauchon and Justin Carbonneau both scored in the shootout as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada edged the Sherbrooke Phoenix 2-1 on Wednesday in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action.

Vincent Desjardins tied the game 1-1 in the second period as Blainville-Boisbriand (16-10-1) won back-to-back games.

Armada goaltender Rémi Delafontaine had 30 saves and turned away two of three skaters in the shootout.

Mavrick Lachance opened the scoring as Sherbrooke (15-9-3) extended its point streak to five games.

Phoenix netminder Linards Feldbergs kicked out 31 of 32 shots.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Zachary Morin scored a goal and an assist as the Sea Dogs topped Acadie-Bathurst.

Reid Calder, William Yared and Matteo Mann rounded out the attack for Saint John (14-14-0).

Maddex Marmulak scored once for Acadie-Bathurst (16-11-0).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Kassim Gaudet struck twice as Chicoutimi sailed past the Drakkar.

Émile Duquet and Korney Korneyev had the other goals for the Sagueneens (15-5-6).

Jabez Seymour scored for Baie-Comeau (16-8-2).
