Active and independent almost to the end, Linda died peacefully at her home near Okotoks, finally reunited with her much beloved and longed for late husband, Norman.
Following a small stroke in April, she had some of the happiest days of her life when her children and grandchildren and their spouses gathered around her, swapping stories and love, and just being together. Family meant everything to her and she was a wonderful cook, baker, homemaker, and gardener.
She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Heide (Jim) Cunningham, Norbert (Jeannette) Selbstaedt, Christine (Christoph) Wuerscher, and her devoted grandchildren, Shannon (John) Epp, Andrew (Courtney) Frank, Nolan Selbstaedt and Natasha (Peyton) Valentine. She will also be lovingly remembered by Brian, Karin, Monika, Jean, Hilde, Martha, Gisela, Ilse and other friends and relatives in Canada and Germany, where she was born.
We would like to thank her caregivers, especially Dr. Richard Ansell, Claire Mallet, Abigail and Rammi.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated and there will be a small graveside service for the family in the fall.
