LETTER: Dad was able to die on his own terms

Proud 91-year-old didn't want to be dependent on others for everyday tasks.

Dear Editor,

It should be everyone’s right to die with dignity.

My dad was 91 when he chose MAID. He was one of the fortunate ones whose body was giving up but his mind was very sharp.

He was a proud man who did not want to be dependent on others to do day-to-day tasks such as bathing, getting dressed and cooking.

He died with dignity and it was the most peaceful experience for his family to be with him and see him leave us on his terms.
