On April 1, 2016, Karen and Mark Norman opened Dang Good Carpet and Furnace Cleaning to provide superior, professional results across carpet, sanitization, furnace/duct, window/gutter, gas fireplace and upholstery cleaning. Area serviced include Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere and Okotoks.
For Mark and Karen, customer service is paramount. “We focus on good quality work at fair prices,” they note. “We are constantly looking at what makes our customers happy.”
The owners continue, “Our reputation is one of the best in the industry, especially when it comes to carpet cleaning. We have more reviews – if not the most! – on Google than almost any other carpet cleaning in and around Calgary (5/5 across 1400+ reviews). We are especially proud to have won the 2020 HomeStars Best of the Best award for Calgary in addition to the Yearly Best award for the last few years. We are now top of the Three Best Rated for Carpet Cleaning Calgary list and we are also on Three Best Rated for Airdrie.” That’s a pretty dang good reputation!
Mark and Karen have recently learned that Dang Good has been nominated in the 2022 Top Choice Awards Survey, competing for the title of Top Choice Carpet Cleaning Services of 2022 in Calgary. “We would sure love to win that, but the nomination alone is something to be proud of.”
Educating and empowering homeowners is also important to Karen and Mark. They maintain a regularly updated blog on their site that covers all sorts of tips and hacks homeowners can do to maintain clean and organized spaces.

Mark and Karen explain, “Staffing is for sure the greatest challenge as it is important for us to have staff that fit in with our culture and are dedicated to the physical nature of cleaning services. We look to take on and keep staff who really enjoy working for Dang Good Carpet and Furnace Cleaning and simply love to make our customers happy by going above and beyond.”
The team is active in the community, as giving back is a personal and company value.

The owners thank their staff, customers, suppliers and supporters. “We could not run this business in isolation. There are so many connecting parts.”
Looking forward, Dang Good plans to optimize the quieter season of December-February by working on the business and fine tuning existing and expanded services. By spring they hope to add enhanced window and gutter cleaning and to include pressure washing.
