“We work closely with local rescues and have a very successful in-store adoption program with Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Society,” says Collette. “This charity is near and dear to our hearts. We have been proud partners for almost eleven years by providing in-store cat adoptions and donation collection events twice a year. We have raised in excess of $100,000 for local rescues over the last 11 years. We consistently rank in the top 10 in Canada for fundraising for local rescues (out of over 600 stores across Canada) thanks to the generosity of other local businesses that contribute to our silent auction each year, our wonderful staff, and our very generous customers.”
Okotoks Pet Valu hosts Pet Appreciation Month every June to help customers in need with vet expenses, and Thanks for Giving in October, which is an in-store pet food drive. Donations are accepted year round.
