If you haven’t paid your property taxes in Diamond Valley yet, you’re running out of time.

The Town of Diamond Valley has issued a final reminder to all ratepayers that property taxes are due by Thursday, Aug. 15.

Any overdue accounts will incur a 12 per cent penalty on Aug. 16.

Property tax bills, which carry a five per cent increase this year, were mailed out in late June.

Diamond Valley council passed its 2024 operating budget last December with a zero per cent tax increase, although a subsequent 12 per cent increase in the provincial education requisition has pushed tax bills higher.

The Town said that 27 cents out of every dollar collected through property taxes goes to the Province for education.
