GALLERY: Horses and kids compete in the Millarville Races

The 119th Millarville Races occurred on July 1.

A long-standing tradition returned to Millarville on Canada Day.

The 119th running of the Millarville Races took place on July 1 at the Millarville Racetrack.

Thoroughbred, stock and pack horses competed in high-speed action, while children got to take part in racing off the track with foot, sack and three-legged races.

A smaller version of the Millarville Farmers' Market was also hosted during the event — this year's market, now in its 42nd year, runs every Saturday until Oct. 15.
