Heading out to university, college or another post-secondary school this fall?

The Sheep River Library in Diamond Valley will be offering workshops this summer to prepare students for post-secondary.

Do you want to know about what that school’s library will be able to do for you? Want to get advanced knowledge about makerspaces, bookable study rooms or how to contact a librarian who knows all about finding the books, magazines, journal articles and high-quality online information for your assignments?

If you are worried or intimidated by any of these things, you are not alone. This is such a common feeling that librarians have done in-depth research into what is called "library anxiety."

The Sheep River Library is happy to help you take the first steps in learning about what your university, college or other post-secondary library offers.

The workshops will cover one or more post-secondary libraries, depending on how many people attending each institution sign up. If you know friends going to the same place as you, encourage them to sign up.

The library plans to run these workshop(s) in mid- to late-August.
