Korean bistro opens in Okotoks at former restaurant location

Rose of Sharon is at the British Chippy's former location on Elizabeth Street in Olde Towne.

A new business has opened its doors at a familiar location in Okotoks.

Rose of Sharon is a new bistro offering kimchi cheese toast, bulgogi burgers and more Korean fusion cuisine in Olde Towne.

Named after the Hibiscus plant, the diner opened on Oct. 2. It's owned by Jandi Lee and Sungho Kim, who came to Canada in 2018 from South Korea.

Rose of Sharon is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. It's located at 94 Elizabeth St., the former home of the British Chippy Okotoks, which closed its doors in April after nearly 10 years.
