It is the start of a new year for our 4-H club, Millarville Mutts and Mustangs, and we are starting off strong.
We have a total of 65 members: 16 senior members (aged 15 to 20), 17 intermediate members (12 to 14), 19 junior members (nine to 11) and, finally, we have 13 cleaver members (six to eight).
In the position of club president sits Hailey Mazubert, who is also our district rep, and next to her our vice president is Ella Hamilton. In other positions we have parliamentarian Joy Den Haan, as club treasurer we have Tori Ackermann, as club historian we have Sydelia Anderson alongside Ellie Mae Hanna, as club reporters we have Avary Nielsen, Justin Penner and Hannah Vellacott, and finally, in the secretary position, we have Bailee Smith.
This year we are offering a new project, Sewing Project, on top of the existing three projects: the Archery Project, Canine Project and Horse Project.
We have many events to host and go to in the coming year, starting off strong by helping run the gates for Millarville Christmas Market. We are so very appreciative of the Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society for letting us use their facilities, such as the quonset, arena and hall.
In the months to come, we will be hamper packing in the District Hamper Packing. For this event, we pack goods for people in need and even get the chance to deliver the hampers to them in person. The district gets goods to anywhere between 13 and 17 families during the holidays.
The Millarville Mutts and Mustangs 4-H Club is an amazing group to be a part of and is so welcoming.
