Dawgs hosting end of summer rock concert at Seaman Stadium

Okotoks event will feature The Eagles tribute band Eagle Eyes and local favourites on Aug. 31

Seaman Stadium has been the venue of immeasurable memories for sports fans.

And now for the first time, the home of the Okotoks Dawgs will be the site of a full-fledged concert with the WCBL team and Town of Okotoks set to co-host an Aug. 31 show featuring Eagle Eyes along with local favourite Brettyn Rose and The Back 40.

“This concert is such a great opportunity to bring our community together and cap off another amazing Dawgs season with an evening of live entertainment,” said Dawgs general manager Tyler Hollick.

“We are proud to host this concert in our beautiful space and look forward to seeing the fans and community members here at Seaman Stadium in August.”

Eagle Eyes, based out of Vancouver Island, are considered among the preeminent The Eagles tribute bands and boast a lineup of hits from throughout the classic rock favourites from California along with a selection of songs from the Eagles’ solo performers.

The Back 40, formed in 2018, bring an eclectic mix of traditional rock, country and blues sound to the stage. Rose, an Okotoks favourite, is a fixture in the community and the longtime anthem singer for Dawgs home games.

The event will run from 5-11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Tickets will be available for purchase at dawgsbaseball.ca and in person at Seaman Stadium.

Patio bookings will be available for groups ranging from 30 to 200.
