Teams from across North America descended on Okotoks last weekend as the Historical Armoured Combat Sports Association held its Canada Cup Armoured Combat Tournament at the Okotoks Agricultural Society’s indoor arena.
The first event held in these parts in three years, it saw sword and steel clash as teams from all over Canada as well as the U.S. walloped each other over the course of two days.
Organizers are hoping to stage a similar event here every six months in an effort to make it an international destination.
