Public art wanted for forgotten places in Olde Towne Okotoks

Applications are now open for the seventh annual Nooks & Crannies Festival, which takes place this summer.

Olde Towne Okotoks will come alive with unique art this summer.

Public art is wanted for the seventh annual Nooks & Crannies Festival, which takes place from July 19 to Aug. 23.

The festival, hosted by the Town of Okotoks, sees artists use recycled materials to bring public art to forgotten corners of downtown. The art is meant to educate and entertain residents and visitors.

Artists can apply on the Town of Okotoks website. Winners will be chosen based on execution, material use, environmental message and how well the piece fits its nook or cranny.
